Our large oval organic bassinet mattress is the optimal mattress for safety and comfort for your baby than the so called mattress that comes with the sleeper you purchase because it is prepared with organic latex and wool. Customarily, that "mattress" (which is regularly difficult to presume as a mattress but more like a pad with a hard bottom) is made of a foam core and covered with vinyl for the purpose of shielding it from leaks or runny bowels. It is also treated with compounds to make it flame resilient. The chemicals that are added to protect infants from fire are creating much worse effects for the baby. They leak through the vinyl cover and can not only be absorbed into babies bodies, but also breathed into their respiratory systems. This can cause breathing troubles, skin rashes, allergic outcomes, and the most horrible of all, possibly even SIDS.
100% organic materials making up the entire mattress. Our infant mattresses start with a 1.5" thick organic natural rubber (latex) core. This natural rubber is collected from rubber tree plants in Sri Lanka, and heated and whipped to formulate the foam rubber core. No toxic chemicals are included and no synthetic materials are mixed in. It is unpolluted natural rubber. They are then topped with an organic wool puddle pad protector. The puddle pad topper eliminates the necessity to acquire a separate puddle pad to keep your mattress clean. Just spot-clean it with baking soda and water. If there is only urine on it, you can simply let it air dry and the bacteria will die within an hour.
